Johnny #23 - (Laos Jordan)
location - North Carolina/ Atlanta, Ga
team - Thai Dish
age - 36
position - guard/forward
height - 5"11
Laos Jordan? Yes in his prime he was exactly that in the asian community. Even in
the way he moves on the court you see a little imitations of Mr. Jordan himself. Johnny was a highschool legend in the city
he lived in. Playing in asian tournaments making a name for himself with every appearance. Johnny brought his style and swagger
every time he stepped on the court. With his great scoring ability Johnny was a one man show at times. Also has great leadership
skills and passing ability made him a superstar. Johnny has won over 10 tournaments as we know of in his career. And of course
he could have won more if he played for better teams. In the South, the players that were playing during the 90's
know of Johnny's game. He is a true legend of asian basketball. If he's playing you are sure to want to watch him put on a
show. A lot older now he is on his downside, at the age of 36 he still can bring it. There's always been a debate if Bo or
Johnny is the best player in the south. But there is no doubt that Johnny is a legend of asian basketball. So we would like
to give the Laos Jordan his respects and love. He is truly one of the pioneers for asian basketball.

Hank "da TANK" - Mpls Lakers, Minnesota

Height: 6'2
Age: 27
Nationality: Chinese
Location: Minneaopolis, Mn
Hank nicknamed "da Tank" plays for the Mpls Lakers. We think he got the nickname
because of his power and size. Also he is built like a tank. He also has a nice touch from the perimeter to
add to his inside scoring. The Lakers are one of the top 5 teams in the country. With Hank as their anchor inside on offense
and defense, the Lakers will continue to be a force in the asian tournament scene. So we decided to have a lil chat with Mr.
Hank Huang.
When did you start playing ball? 8th grade
Did you play ball in highschool? What position? Did you start? Scoring
Average?
Played high school ball as 6th man. Played C/PF. I don't remember my scoring
average, but it wasn't very high.
Did you play college ball? nope
How many asian tournaments did you get 1st place?
I've been playing in asian basketball tourneys since 1997 when I was at Iowa State
University. We played all throughout IA and MN winning a good number of tournaments (10+??). We then branched
off to tourneys in IL and WI. After I got out of college in 2001, I started going to the east and west coast for tourneys.
Right now who do you think is the best asian american basketball player
in the country?
Well, since there's pretty much only one asian american baller in the NBA, it would have
to be Yao.
What basketball player did you look up to when you were growing up?
Growing up, it was always MJ23. It was always about watching how he can control and take over a game anytime he wanted.
He could single handedly will his team to victory under any circumstance. Nowadays, it would be KG and my current active
b-ball player. Not only because he's the hometown hero, but because of his passion and dedication to the game and to
his team. He's an unselfish player that has not given up on Minney even through some of the long hard
losing seasons. Even though he has this monster contract, he did in fact take a pay cut just to help the team.
KG is 'DA MAN!

Xiro
team- northsiderz
age- 19
nationality- laos
location- minnesota
sophomore junior college starter

Xiro! Xiro! Xiro! He's our hero! Was the cry for the fans of the Minesota Northsiderz.
This young cat put on a show for all to see! Hitting threes from outta space. This young man plays like an asian Iverson. At
only 19 he has already the respect of veterans and the admiration of many fans. With so much potential, he has become an instant
legend and household name in the Minesota area, maybe soon the whole country. With quick hands and the ability to penetrate
with the dribble, but known for his prolific three pt shot that he can unleash from anywhere. His teammates consist of very
young and inexperienced players, so he has yet to win a tournament. But if you watch this young bro play, he will capture
your attention. Still early in his career so I'm sure he will get that championship that he's missing, eventually. So when
you go to the next tourney, if Xiro's in town, take a seat and enjoy the show! Big ups young shawty! Keep doin yo thang!
