74656.JPEGTeddy Bears still Kings of Atlanta on a clutch shot!

Championship Game:

Teddy Bears     48  Final Overtime
Atl Rat Pack     43

The Teddy Bears continue their winning ways by defeating the Rat Pack again in overtime. This was a rematch of last season's championship game. The Teddy Bears didn't look as dominating this season losing 3 games. It seems that the gap between the Teddy Bears and the rest of the teams in Atanta is getting smaller. Teams are catching up and getting better, but the Teddy Bears still found a way to win when it counts.

The championship game was a defensive struggle from the start. Rat Pack stayed close with the Teddy Bears from start to finish. The even took the lead late. The Teddy Bears remained composed and tied the game. The Teddy Bears had the ball and 30 seconds to win the game. The Teddy Bears star Billy Kim was fouled with 8 seconds left for a one and one free throw. He missed the free throw and Rat Pack got the back for the final shot and Mani Saddig missed a tough shot near the basket. Overtime.

In the overtime both teams stuggled to score. The game was tied again and Rat Pack had a chance to take the lead. They rotated the ball a few times and got Atif Sajid the ball. He was open but chose to pass it to Mani Saddig who was open also. Mani got a good look and launched a three and hit the back rim. Why Atif pass? Good question. He said,"I was off all game". He might have made the shot or missed, but a good veteran shooter like Atif needs to take that shot. But he did pass it another open guy who is a good shooter also. Well champions make shots when it counts.

The Teddy Bears get the rebound and work the ball around to get a good shot. Time is winding down with the game tied, and Mike Yoo (Championship Game MVP 16 points) shoots and NBA range shot with 2.2 seconds remaining and everyone just waits as the the ball skims the rim into the basket. The Teddy Bears lead by 3! Timeout. Rat Pack has to go full court with 2 seconds and Ali Igbal gets a shot near halfcourt and heaves to the rim and game over! Another heartbreaking lost for the Rat Pack. Great season guys maybe next time.

Sunday May 10th Playoff Scoreboard:

#1 Atl Rat Pack    56
#8 Air Punjab       30

Rat Pack showed why they are the #1 seed by dominating Air Punjab on all ends of the floor. Rat Pack looks really sharp going into the next round. But you know that they will meet the Teddy Bears somewhere down the road. Can they finally beat them? The answer will come this Sunday.

High Scorer:  #3 Mani Saddig  21 points

#2 Sand Brothaz      58
#7 Max-Out            46

Max-Out started the game with a ten point lead, but lost their composure. They gave up too many free points by turning the ball over. This game was tight all the way to the end until Sand Brothaz took the lead and never gave it back. Max-Out has had a fustrating season and continue to not play up to their capabilities, this team needs some major changes for next season.

High Scorer:   #23 Bo Noung   24 points

GT Rainmakers   50
Supreme Court   37

Supreme Court had a major improvement this season, but still lack enough firepower to compete for a title. But the improved play of Jessie Winchester will be a key to their rebuilding. GT Rainmakers look sharp and seem ready to challenge for the title. But do they have enough size in the paint?

High Scorers:    #3 Zach Antoine  16 points
