Feb 22 Scores:

Teddy Bears     62
Sand Brothaz    63

UPSET Alert! The Sand Brothaz shocked the Teddy Bears with an impressive showing on Sunday. Matching shot for shot in a great game with the powerhouse Teddy Bears. This is only the second lost in league history for the Teddy Bears. #33 Ali Makdad help contain Thomas Byrd inside and score 19 points and had 10 rebounds to lead the team to a victory. This was a physical game with lots of great shooting on both sides. The Sand Brothaz looks to be a contender for the championship. But the Teddy Bears are still the team to beat. Especially this lost came without having their best player, Billy Kim.

Air Punjab          35
Practice Squad    47

Pikachu has a new name now, Practice Squad. Does this mean a new era of winning? We will see. This team improved a lot last summer season. But its the playoffs that counts. We will find out if the Squad can get over the hump. But they came out and played good defense and shut down one of the league's top scorers, Jaspal Bathal. Holding him to only 3 points. This was Jaspals worst performance in  league play. I'm sure he'll bounce back next game.

GT Rainmakers   60
Max-Out            46

Max-Out is starting this season like last season very slow and aweful play. At least they scored more than 25 points from last game. But some say, with such a talented roster, whats going on? Bad shooting, lack of defense, confusion, bad coaching, lack of effort, or just rusty. Well whatever it is they need to get it together soon. The Rainmakers made it difficult for Max-Out by just blowing by defenders and scoring at the rim. And adding some good outside shooting hitting 6 three's, it was a total team effort. But we will see how they do against teams that are more consistent, because their issue all season will be because they don't have enough size down in the paint.

Player of the Week:

Sorry Schedule has been updated again (Team Issues) so please check the schedule. Thank You

February 15 scores:

Teddy Bears  55
Max-Out       25

The Teddy Bears prove once again why they are the best in Atlanta. They embarassed and crushed the confidence of the inconsistent Max-Out team by 30 points. Max-Out looked horrible in every phase of the game, while the Teddy Bears just keep rolling. The addition of #1 Mike Yoo to the Teddy Bears looks to be a very good move. Mike lead the way with 22 points.

Supreme Court   38
Atl Rat Pack       43

Supreme Court held a lead for most of the second half, but the experience and clutch play by the Rat Pack was the difference. Jon #5 Jon Buenaseda of Supreme Court had a break out game with 20 points. Rat Pack looked really rusty, but they will be much improved by the next game for sure.

Air Punjab          59
Gt Rainmakers   46

Too much size and too much Jaspal (Jessie) Bathal who scored at will, adding 21 points even though he showed up late in the first half. But it was the rebounding and size inside that help Air Punjab take care of an undersized Rainmaker team.

Player of the Week:

#1 Mike Yoo
Teddy Bears         22 points, 4 rebounds, 3 steals

There are some changes made to the schedule. Pikachu has been added to the new schedule so please make sure check out the updated schedule. Good luck to all the teams.

The Teddy Bears go for their 3rd League Championship in a row. Can the do the 3-Peat or will a new power arise in Atlanta Asian Basketball. Its going to be an exciting season! Some teams have added some extra firepower. Atl Rat Pack have sharpshooter Atif Sajid added to their already impressive roster. They should be the team to finally take out the Teddy Bears. But Max-Out has added their own secret weapon with the addition of Johnnie Hughes in the paint. Johnnie will be a much needed help on an underachieving Max-Out team, that has one of the top players in asian basketball, Bo Noung. Can these two get Max-Out over that hump into elite status. We shall see.
