October 5 Championship Sunday Scoreboard:
Championship
Game
Atl Rat Pack 70 Teddy Bears 75
The last time these two teams played, the Teddy Bears won by 2 in double overtime. So this game was going to
be physical and competitive all the way to last seconds. The game started with the Rat Pack building a 15 point lead in the
first half. But as soon as #20 Daniel Yoon came off the bench for the Teddy Bears, the intensity for the Teddy Bears went
to another level. Their defense picked up, and Daniel lead an offense charge by hitting 3 point baskets and driving layups.
The Teddy Bears came back to tie the game at halftime 35 to 35.
The Rat Pack was lead by #30 Summit Tucker and
#3 Mani Saddig, who was so consistent all season long. With 3 point bombs by both players all game long, they kept the Rat
Pack close. But Billy Kim's and Thomas Byrd's tenacious defense, rebounding, and clutch baskets put the Teddy Bears
ahead. And the unsung heroe #5 James Yoon had one of his best games by scoring 24 points leading the Teddy Bears to another
championship! The Teddy Bears continue to prove that they are the best team in Atlanta. And they have been the best team in
Atlanta for over 10-15 years consistently without a major drop off. All credit has to go to team captain Timmy Dam. Timmy
has built the most successful team in Atlanta and the southeast. Congrats Teddy Bears, but is their a team that can get to
their level in Atlanta? We will see.
Championship Game MVP - #5 James Yoon, 24 points
Final Four
Max-Out 51 Teddy Bears 63
The Teddy Bears have a voo-doo curse on Max-Out. And they are just so much better than them. This game showcased
a total team effort by the Teddy Bears as they just confused Max-Out's defense with crisp cuts and passes for layups all
day long. And the Teddy Bears defense made it tough all game for Max-Out to get a rythem going.
Atl Outkasts
55 Atl Rat Pack 65
The Rat Pack seemed to be
quicker, hungrier, and more physical from the start of this game. Atif Sajid couldn't get his groove on missing shots
that he usually makes. Without Tony Akins, they didn't have their swagger. And the Rat Pack just out ran and out hustled
them for a win.

The summer league playoffs have had some very exciting games! All the games were very competitive and had a
lot of emotion and physical play. There were a lot of teams that improved their play from the beginning of the season to the
end. Pikachu is the most improved team by far. From being at the bottom of last season's league to finishing 6-3 and were
2 points from making the final four. With #6 Khoa Do's leadership and point guard play they have made a huge turnaround.
And also the addition of #3 Trevor Callender, who is a very good young rising star, also will help them in the future. So
don't hang your heads, yah accomplished a lot this season.
And B-Team was a huge suprise this season finishing
6-3 also. This young team just needs to work out some kinks and get some solid point guard play. If they do that, they will
definitely compete for a championship! Newcomers #23 Johnnie Hughes and #11 Henry Kim are some upcoming stars in the
making. Just keep working on your game and you will get there guys.
To the teams that have their season's
ended, yah had a great season. Only one team can win the championship. With a little bit of dedication, maybe next season
will be yours!
Championship Sunday October 5

#1 Teddy Bears vs #9 Max-Out
Max-Out is certainly a suprise to be in the
final four. After going 1-6 to start the season, they have won 5 straight games to get a chance to win the championship. With
#10 Mang Shong getting his offensive game in gear, and the team playing much better defense, they will go up against their
worst nightmare. The Teddy Bears have beaten Max-Out in every game of league play. So this will be a huge task for Max-Out, against
the best team in Atlanta. The Teddys are looking to continue their dominance of Atlanta teams with a second straight league
championship.
6pm #2 Atl Outkasts vs #3 Atl Rat Pack
The
Outkasts and Rat Pack know each other very well. These former teammates will battle again in this rivalry. The Outkasts are
without Tony Akins, who went back to Europe. But the Outkasts should still have enough firepower to give the Rat Pack a hard
time again. This should be a very good competitive game.
