#5      6pts     9rbs    2stls
#6      5pts     1rb      1blk
#1      7pts      4rbs

A sluggish and sloppy game by both teams all game. Both teams seemed like they never played organize ball before. But the Rat Pack lead by #3 Mani Saddig (20 points) in scoring and #1 Narayana Gowde (10 rebounds), who dominated in the paint, pulled out an ugly win.

Atl Blaze         47

This Hungover team will be the sleeper team to win the championship. With their quick guards and excellent shooters, this Korean team will go under the radar, but will be a force to deal with.

#7       19pts 7rbs 2stls
#23     18pts 2rbs

The Showstoppers did seem intimidated by Atif Sajid and Tony Akins early in this game, with #23 Dulla scoring at will in the first 10 minutes of the game. But Atl Outkasts regrouped and shut down their offensive attack. The dominated the rest of the game and looked very good in the second half. It seems the chemistry with Tony Akins was very good also. This teams looks scary for the rest of the league go up against.

Player of the Week:

Tony Akins

27 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists

League Championship Game - The Atl Outkasts advanced to the championship game with a dominating performance over #2 seed Max-Out. The Outkasts were hitting on all cylinders and were unguardable. Great team passing and inside/outside scoring proved to be too much for Max-out to handle. While the #1 seed Teddy Bears as expected beat Picachoo to move into the championship game looking for another trophy this year.

The championship game between the Outkasts and Teddy Bears may have been the best game of entire season. The Outkasts have been riding momentum for the last two weeks by just exploding on offense especially from the 3-point line. And that didn't change in the championship game. The Oukast made as a team 17 (3 point) field goals, lead by #1 Mighty Mouse with 8 three's in the game. But the Teddy Bears kept it close all game despite the Outkasts strong offensive performance. As as champions do, they made clutch baskets down the stretch. The game came down to .26 seconds left and the Outkasts had possession with two time outs remaining (Outkasts lead 81- 80) and threw pass into traffic that caused a turnover. The Teddy Bears scored on the next possession and took the lead 82-81. And that was the ball game with the Outkast missing the last shot. So the Teddy Bears win another championship! Well done guys, we will see you next season. We want to thank all the teams for a fun league, and hope to improve on next season. So keep practicing, maybe someone will take out the mighty Teddy Bears!

Atlanta League MVP

#22 Billy Kim
Teddy Bears

Billy has proved that he is now the top player in Atlanta asian basketball. With his versatile offensive game, excellent rebounder and defender, Billy is well deserving of this award.

Playoff Week - Atl Outkasts advance to play Max-Out in the leagues Final Four games, by beating Supreme Court 92 -75. The Outkasts were hitting on all cylinders with their "A" game, especially #12 Atif Sajid, scoring 32 points, 11 rebounds, & dishing 5 assists. Both teams scored lots of points, but the Atl Outkasts just had too many shooters for Supreme Court to handle. Max-Out beat the Atl Outkasts by 1 point in an ealier matchup this season in overtime. This should be a good rematch.

Picachoo with the only 1 win managed finally to get a crucial win and also advance by beating J-Crew by 1 in overtime. Picachoo is usually turnover proned, and almost gave away another game near the end. But Meng Xiong missed free throw gave Picachoo an opportunity to advance to play the Teddy Bears on Sunday! But Picachoo looks to be a major underdog to the mighty Teddy Bears. This game shouldn't be close, but we will see if Picachoo can pull an upset to make it to the championship game. See on Easter Sunday for the championship game!

week 5 - Sorry for the lateness of updated information this week. Just some minor problems. All stats will be updated soon. Thanks for your patience.

Every team seemed a little sluggish after the tournament on Saturday March 1st. Congrats to Picachoo for winning their first game! They continue to improve with their big man Audi leading the way. The Teddy Bears improve their record to 5-0 with a win over th Atl Outkasts. Max-Out  defeated J-Crew with an all around team effort. This Sunday is the last regular season game. So all the teams I'm sure will be gettin tuned up for the playoffs! And Max-Out will get their rematch against the Teddy Bears. Can they finally get a win over them! We'll find out Sunday afternoon.

Week 4 - The Teddy Bears dominate against Supreme Court with Paul Lee lighting up the 3 point line, making 6 of them. Looks like its gonna be tough to stop the Teddy Bears from dominating the league. J-Crew improves to 2-2 with a grind out victory over Picachoo who is still looking for their first win. Picachoo lost the last two games by a combined margin of 6 points. Keep playing hard guys and you will get one soon. The game of the day was Max-Out vs Atl Outkasts. Max-Out edged Atl Outkast by 2 in overtime. Outkast lead by 11 in the second half, but lead by Sam Chan & Bo Noung, they overcame the defecit and squeaked out a victory in overtime. Good games this week,  see yah next week!
